Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Webora Shield (“Webora Shield”, “the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information in connection with your use of our iOS application.
Webora Shield is a privacy-focused Safari Content Blocker manager designed to help users configure local rule-based protection for Safari. The App allows users to manage protection layers, trusted websites, rule updates, setup guidance, privacy information, and local diagnostic status.
We designed Webora Shield with privacy as a core principle. The App does not collect browsing history, does not monitor visited websites, does not require an account, does not use advertising tracking, and does not route your internet traffic through our servers.
By using Webora Shield, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Overview
Webora Shield works by providing Safari Content Blocker rules that are processed locally by Safari on your device.
Safari applies these rules on-device. Webora Shield does not receive information about which websites you visit, which pages you open, what content you view, or what Safari blocks while browsing.
The App is designed to give users control over local Safari protection settings without collecting personal browsing activity.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Webora Shield does not collect, store, sell, rent, or share the following information:
- Browsing history
- Visited websites
- Safari activity
- Search queries
- Web page content
- Content blocked by Safari
- Personal profiles
- User accounts
- Names
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Contacts
- Photos
- Precise location
- Payment information
- Advertising identifiers
- Analytics events
- Trusted website domains added by the user
- Any information used to track you across apps or websites
Webora Shield does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies designed to profile users.
3. No Account Required
Webora Shield does not require registration, login, user profiles, subscriptions accounts, or account-based identification.
You can use the App without creating an account and without providing personal information to us.
4. No Browsing History Collection
Webora Shield does not collect or access your browsing history.
The App does not know:
- Which websites you visit
- Which pages you open
- Which ads or trackers Safari blocks
- What content appears on websites
- What you search for online
- What you do inside Safari
Safari Content Blocker rules are applied locally by Safari. Webora Shield does not receive reports about your browsing activity.
5. No VPN, DNS, Proxy, or Traffic Routing
Webora Shield does not operate as a VPN, DNS filter, proxy service, browser, or network traffic routing service.
Your internet traffic is not routed through Webora Shield servers.
The App does not inspect, redirect, decrypt, log, or monitor your network traffic.
6. How Webora Shield Works
Webora Shield uses Safari Content Blocker technology. The App provides rule-based configuration files that Safari can use to reduce unwanted web content.
These rules may help reduce categories of unwanted content such as:
- Ads
- Trackers
- Analytics scripts
- Social widgets
- Annoyance elements
- Banners
- Risky or suspicious domains
- Privacy-related web elements
Protection is rule-based and depends on Safari, enabled protection layers, current rule files, and the structure of individual websites.
Webora Shield does not guarantee that all unwanted content will be blocked on every website.
7. Local Data Stored on Your Device
To make the App work properly, Webora Shield stores certain configuration data locally on your device.
This may include:
- Selected protection layers
- Protection mode
- Enabled or disabled rule groups
- Rules version
- Last rules update status
- Last reload status
- Setup status
- App preferences
- Language settings
- Local diagnostic state
- Trusted websites list
- Protection readiness status
This information is stored locally on your device and is used only to operate the App’s features.
We do not upload your local settings, trusted websites, or browsing-related preferences to our servers.
8. Trusted Websites
Webora Shield includes a Trusted Websites feature that allows users to reduce blocking for selected websites.
Trusted websites are stored locally on your device.
We do not collect, transmit, sell, share, or analyze the websites you add to your trusted list.
Trusted Websites are used only to configure local rule behavior for Safari Content Blocker functionality.
9. Protection Rules and Firebase Storage
Webora Shield uses Firebase Storage only to download public protection rule files required for the App’s functionality.
These rule files are downloaded by the App, cached locally, and processed by Safari on your device.
Webora Shield does not upload the following information to Firebase:
- Browsing history
- Visited websites
- Safari activity
- Search queries
- Trusted websites
- Personal information
- Web page content
- User profiles
- Analytics events
Firebase Storage may process standard technical information necessary to deliver files over the internet, such as network request information, device or software environment, service logs, and related technical data.
We use Firebase Storage only for public rule file delivery. We do not use Firebase Storage to monitor users, track browsing activity, build advertising profiles, or analyze personal web behavior.
10. Rule Updates
Webora Shield may check for updated protection rule files to keep the App’s rule configuration current.
When rule files are updated:
- The App downloads public rule files
- The files are cached locally
- Safari processes the rules locally
- The App may display rule version, update time, and update status
Rule update checks do not include your browsing history, visited websites, trusted websites, or personal web activity.
11. Diagnostic Reports
Webora Shield may allow users to generate a local diagnostic report to understand the App’s configuration status or help with troubleshooting.
A diagnostic report may include:
- App version
- iOS version
- Rules version
- Active protection mode
- Active protection layers count
- Total rules count
- Last reload status
- Last rules update status
- Firebase sync status
- Setup state
- Local configuration status
- Error codes, if any
Diagnostic reports are generated locally on your device and are not sent to us automatically.
Diagnostic reports do not include:
- Browsing history
- Visited websites
- Trusted website domains
- Search queries
- Web page content
- Personal information
- Advertising identifiers
- Analytics identifiers
You control whether to share any diagnostic report.
12. App Permissions
Webora Shield is designed to operate with minimal permissions.
The App does not request access to:
- Location
- Contacts
- Photos
- Camera
- Microphone
- Calendars
- Reminders
- Bluetooth
- Local network
- Health data
Safari Content Blocker functionality must be enabled by the user in iOS Safari settings. This is required by Apple’s system design for Safari content blockers.
13. Third-Party Services
Webora Shield uses Firebase Storage for public protection rule file delivery.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, or data brokers.
Third-party services may process limited technical data necessary to provide their services, such as delivering files or maintaining service reliability. We do not use these services to collect browsing activity or personal web behavior.
14. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal data with third parties.
Because Webora Shield does not collect browsing history, visited websites, user profiles, or personal browsing activity, we do not have that type of information to share.
We may disclose limited information only if required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or services. However, we do not possess personal browsing history or Safari activity data from Webora Shield users.
15. Data Retention
Most App-related information is stored locally on your device.
Local configuration data remains on your device until you change settings, delete local data, or uninstall the App.
Public rule files cached by the App may remain on your device until replaced by updated rule files, cleared by the system, or removed when the App is deleted.
We do not maintain user accounts or personal browsing databases.
16. Data Security
Webora Shield is designed to reduce data exposure by minimizing data collection.
We use a privacy-by-design approach:
- No account system
- No browsing history collection
- No advertising tracking
- No traffic routing through our servers
- Local storage for user configuration
- Local Safari processing for content blocker rules
While no software system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, Webora Shield is designed to avoid collecting sensitive browsing information in the first place.
17. Children’s Privacy
Webora Shield is not designed to collect personal information from children.
The App does not require accounts, does not collect names, does not collect contact information, and does not collect browsing history.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address the issue.
18. International Users
Webora Shield may be available to users in different countries and regions.
The App is designed to minimize the collection of personal information regardless of where it is used.
Public rule files may be delivered through third-party infrastructure, such as Firebase Storage, which may process technical request data according to its own infrastructure and service practices.
19. Your Choices and Controls
You control how Webora Shield is configured.
Inside the App, you can:
- Enable or disable protection layers
- Change protection modes
- Manage trusted websites
- Reload protection rules
- Review privacy information
- Review filter sources
- Generate local diagnostic reports
- Open Safari setup guidance
- Change App preferences
You can also delete Webora Shield from your device at any time. Removing the App deletes locally stored App data according to iOS behavior.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, technical improvements, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
When we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of Webora Shield after an updated Privacy Policy becomes available means that you acknowledge the updated policy.
